You can sell your car without a v5! it says on the dvla web page?

This is what it says on the DVLA page:

If you buy a used vehicle - seller does not have a registration document or certificate

If the seller does not have a V5 registration document or V5C registration certificate, you should register the vehicle in your name by using form V62 %26#039;application for a registration certificate%26#039;. You can get one by download from the vehicle forms link below or from any Post Office庐 branch or a DVLA local office. DVLA will then send you a new registration certificate in your name.

check out this link and tell me what you think

Yep, that%26#039;s what is says. Looks easy to me!

I know what your saying. You should%26#039;t really buy a car if there is no V5 because there will be no new keepers suppliment for you to sign.

This really is quite dodgy. I%26#039;d stay clear.

Other Replys:if you dont have v5c (log-book) you can apply for one it will cost 拢19+ I had to get one 2years ago it cost拢19 not sure what it costs now

Other Replys:Yes you can sell it without the V5. But there%26#039;s only a few reasons the seller wouldn%26#039;t have the V5. None are too good.

1) The car is nicked

2) They lost it

3) It was written off as a cat C or D. These can be legally put back on the road but the insurance co sends the V5 back to the dvla when they write it off. So you have to reapply for it with form V62 (new V5 is free if car is a cat C, you must pay if it%26#039;s a cat D).

4) They just bought the car and haven%26#039;t got the new V5 through in their name yet. Obviously the question to ask is why are they selling it on so quick!

Other Replys:Sure, but see if you can get rid of it without V5.

Other Replys:You can indeed sell a car without V5. It%26#039;s more a question of whether anyone will buy it - I wouldn%26#039;t!
