heres a great stat counter with graphs and a counter you can put on your page. sign up at http://my.statcounter.com/register.php

it works by you putting a small code it gives you in one or all of you pages, then it counts them. either you check it on the site, or it can email you stats for the past week, month, year, ect.

You cannot have a hit counter using javascript because javascript has no I/O capabilities!

You need to store the count on the server!
