Layer... the background is simply a background image. Everything on top is your HTML... it does not have layers.
The problem with this is simple. Text is quite easy, just do it. If you want floating graphics, you must use GIF, where the clear part that shows the background is set to a transparent color. But gifs are quite DORKY with only 256 colors, and lacks any really quality.
Another problem is that the Background picture might have to be HUGE. You see, if you set the background picture to one that is only 200 pixels wide, it repeats again and again to the right of the first one. But if you expect people to have a 1024 pixel wide screen, they simply won%26#039;t see it all if they have less. Again, it repeats if they have a really wide screen. But this 1024 wide graphic is really a big file. That means that some guy that uses dialup will have to wait and wait and wait, for your dorky background to appear.... You%26#039;ve got just 10 seconds to catch their eye, and I%26#039;m sorry, YOU MISSED IT. They are off to somewhere else now.
Take a look at the Billion dollar websites, and you won%26#039;t see a bogus background picture.

You see, if you RIGHT CLICK on a plain part of the page, you would see a menu item that says SAVE BACKGROUND AS. If this is NOT LIT, then they don%26#039;t have a background graphic... It%26#039;s NOT a good idea to use one.
But if you still want to do it, GO FOR IT.

I use microsoft frontpage. the icon is at the top of my browser beside the stop, refresh, home buttons etc. usualy you can click the frontpage icon and it will load the page you are viewing on the net (even if it%26#039;s not yours) so that you can look at the script, learn how they set up the page etc. ( i know about %26quot;view/source%26quot; but would like to actualy play around with the design in an editor)

Frontpage has problems with XHTML.
I was able to open it no problems in frontpage 2003 (from the office xp cd)

you can try a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus..
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

You have alot of miss spellings. Some of the information is hard to understand due to improper placing, and lack of punctuation. Look over it thoroughly and rewrite what needs to be. It seems like an odd problem. The only thing I can think of for the email program, is that you haven%26#039;t signed in.
As for the web pages, that may be because your security is set too high. Try going into your internet options and reducing the security a bit. Might work.

Meh frontpage is ok, but its not always free.
I personally use AceHTML editor. Its nice and easy if you already know how to code in HTML.
If all else fails, then CoffeeCup is a good lil tool to use also, but not free after the 25 day trial period.

So the problem you have is that IE by default can only open 2 TCP connections (although many people seem to think it%26#039;s 4).
So you can download one at a time but not more than 2 simulatanoiusly.
So you could suck the content to your local PC..... but it depends why you want to pics for.
Goto add favourites, and select to make the content available locally, this will %26quot;suck%26quot; the content from the site and store it on your pc.
