rightclick, or ctrl click if you own a mac and choose properties. It works for about any website.
I have seen many pages with images on the top of the page. Kinda like a header pic.
Any suggestions. Blogger does not really help in explaining how to do it.

I saw a webpage that has a back groumd picture..
on the page there is a layer that has some stuff wretten and some pictures on it.
the thing about this layer is that it was see throught .. I can see the back ground picture through it.

Layer... the background is simply a background image. Everything on top is your HTML... it does not have layers.
The problem with this is simple. Text is quite easy, just do it. If you want floating graphics, you must use GIF, where the clear part that shows the background is set to a transparent color. But gifs are quite DORKY with only 256 colors, and lacks any really quality.
Another problem is that the Background picture might have to be HUGE. You see, if you set the background picture to one that is only 200 pixels wide, it repeats again and again to the right of the first one. But if you expect people to have a 1024 pixel wide screen, they simply won%26#039;t see it all if they have less. Again, it repeats if they have a really wide screen. But this 1024 wide graphic is really a big file. That means that some guy that uses dialup will have to wait and wait and wait, for your dorky background to appear.... You%26#039;ve got just 10 seconds to catch their eye, and I%26#039;m sorry, YOU MISSED IT. They are off to somewhere else now.
Take a look at the Billion dollar websites, and you won%26#039;t see a bogus background picture.

You see, if you RIGHT CLICK on a plain part of the page, you would see a menu item that says SAVE BACKGROUND AS. If this is NOT LIT, then they don%26#039;t have a background graphic... It%26#039;s NOT a good idea to use one.
But if you still want to do it, GO FOR IT.

The best links are ones that are %26quot;one sided%26quot;...meaning they link to you but you don%26#039;t link to them (again, so I%26#039;ve heard and tried and it seems to work for me). You could write articles and submit them for free...that would get your link out there too.

Gosh Honey, I guess they didn%26#039;t teach spelling or grammer, huh?
Everything I try isn%26#039;t working! I have tried puting in HTML but it just keep showing up as the HTML on the published page, not as the counter. Can someone who has actually done one on their google site help me?
